On June 18th, Mary McAllister and I flew to Malawi to begin a two week visit to one of the most fascinating countries in the world. While there, as part of a British Council Global Schools Partnership Reciprocal Grant programme, we visited Kapalamula and Nakoma Primary Schools and learned so much about this amazing county. This is our story......(please start at Day 1)

Day 1
It was an early start for our journey. I decided not to go to bed so Colin and I stayed up until I was ready to leave at 3am. I headed into Stirling and picked up Mary and we were off! We flew from Edinburgh to Paris then onto Nairobi to finally land at Lilongwe at 9:45 pm. Unfortunately, because we had such a tight turn around at Nairobi (20 minutes running from one gate to the other) our bags decided to stay in Kenya rather than make their way to Malawi. Tomorrow is always another day!!
